I find its much easier to apply the glue with the platform on the table and then stick the platform in the printer preglued (so to speak)

I am having great success using yellow Frogtape (painters tape for delicate surfaces) and extreme hold hair spray. I get good adhesion during printing and the printed item is easily removed even if it sticks tightly to the tape.

Actually, I am having good results with PLA just using the yellow Frog Tape and no glue.
